We are seeking three (3) Field Research Enumerators to support an upcoming research project. The enumerators will be responsible for collecting high quality data in line with approved research tools and ethical standards.
This is a short term assignment linked to a structured research project. Successful candidates will work closely with the Research & Analysis Consultant and the project team.

Position Overview
Field Research Enumerators will be responsible for conducting structured data collection activities, including administering surveys, interviews, and other approved research tools in the field.
The role requires professionalism, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to accurately capture responses while maintaining neutrality and confidentiality.
Enumerators will receive training prior to the commencement of fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face surveys, interviews, or other data collection activities as assigned.
- Follow research protocols and ethical guidelines at all times.
- Ensure informed consent is obtained from all respondents.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
- Meet daily or weekly data collection targets.
- Participate in enumerator training and briefing sessions.
- Report challenges and field observations to the research supervisor.
- Submit completed tools and field reports within agreed timelines.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Public Policy, Journalism, or a related field.
- Previous experience in data collection, surveys, or field research assignments.
- Strong communication skills in relevant local language(s) and English (if applicable).
- Ability to use digital data collection tools (Kobo, ODK, tablets) is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage respectfully with diverse communities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Availability for the full duration of the assignment.
Language Skills
Candidates must be proficient in both Somali and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
